Day 1 :Kochi – Munnar
A warm welcome awaits as you arrive in Kochi. Our Namaste India trip tour guide escorts you to a waiting coach that will take you all the way across 140 kms of glorious green scenery to the cool hills of Munnar. On the way you can admire numerous waterfalls, lakes, streams and paddy fields as well as spice plantations making the air fragrant with the aroma of spices. Arrive in Munnar and check into your hotel room for some rest. Freshen up and set out to explore this town with its winding alleys and its colonial tea culture.

Day 2 :Munnar Excursions
Munnar town has plenty of attractions but the real charms are all spread out in the neighbourhood. So, after breakfast, you set out to the Mattupetty Lake and the Dam passing by rolling tea gardens. Boating on the natural lake is a wonderful experience and from here we go on to Echo Point to shout and hear your voice coming back at you. Today’s trip also includes a visit to Kundala Lake and to Rajmalai reserve. The afternoon finds you in the midst of the Eravikulam National Park. This Park is a lovely preserve of nature and is home to the Nilgiri Thar, an endangered goat species as well as hundreds of animals, birds, reptiles and amphibians. On the way back we peek into the tea museum and then return to the hotel for some rest. You might want to go out in the evening after sunset to know how people pass the time.

Day 3 :Munnar – Thekkady
Enjoy steaming hot nutritious Malayali breakfast and board the coach for the 110 km 3 hour drive to Thekkady home to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Check into your resort lodge and then set out on a unique boat safari on Periyar Lake, the best way to observe elephants, tigers, leopards, amphibians and birds in this wonderful reserve. Periyar is a dense tropical forest and the air echoes with the call of animals and birds as you navigate the waters and capture images on your camera. In the evening you return to your room for an overnight stay plumb in the lap of Nature.

Day 4 :Thekkady – Alleppey
Day dawns to the chirps of birds and you sit down to a hearty breakfast after which it is time to leave for Alleppey, a 130 km 3 hour drive over scenic landscape. Alleppey is the Venice of the East, its waterways dotted with hundreds of houseboats. You board one houseboat to experience life first hand. The boat navigates the waters and you can see the waterways bustling with activities. This is a different world and an experience you will not forget in a hurry. Dine on typical Kerala style cuisine and spend the night on the houseboat with the gentle motion of the waters lulling you to sleep.

You visit in the Thiruvalluvar statue and tour the Gandhi Memorial. Guganathaswamy Temple, dating back 1000 years and a fine example of Chola architecture will leave you spellbound. Lastly there is just time enough to take in the Vattakottai or circular fort built by King Marthanda Varma, before it is time to go to the point where people congregate to watch the sunset. After that you return to Kovalam for the night.
