Day wise Planning

Day 1 : Kozhikode – Wayanad (90KM/2-3hours)
Arrive at Kozhikode Airport/Railway station Start your journey to Kozhikode to Wayanad, which is approximately 90 kilometers away. On the way, you can stop at Pookode Lake, a picturesque freshwater lake surrounded by lush greenery. Enjoy a short boat ride or simply take a leisurely walk around the lake. Continue your journey to Wayanad and check into your hotel after fresh up visit the Banasura Sagar Dam, which is the largest earthen dam in India. You can enjoy boating here and admire the stunning views of the reservoir and the surrounding hills.

Day 2 : Wayanad – Edakkal Caves (25KM/1 hours)
After breakfast start your journey and drive to Edakkal Caves, (an archaeological wonder. These caves have ancient rock carvings and are located at a height, so you'll need to do a bit of hiking to reach them. The hike is worth it, as the views from the top are breathtaking). Explore the caves and learn about their historical significance. Take your time to admire the ancient inscriptions and soak in the unique atmosphere. Afternoon: Return to Wayanad for lunch. Afterward, you can visit the Wayanad Heritage Museum to learn about the region's rich cultural and historical heritage. Evening: Head to Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanad. Though trekking to the summit might take a considerable effort, the panoramic view from the top is absolutely worth it, especially during the golden hour.

Day 3 : Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary – Kozhikode (110 KM/3-4hours)
Start your journey early morning after check out from your hotel and proceed to Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary. Arrive early to increase your chances of spotting wildlife. The sanctuary is home to various species of flora and fauna, including elephants, deer, monkeys, and a wide variety of birds. Mid-morning: Embark on a guided safari through the sanctuary. It's a fantastic opportunity to get close to nature and observe the animals in their natural habitat. Afternoon: Have lunch and then visit the Soochipara Waterfalls, also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls. You can indulge in a refreshing dip in the natural pool at the base of the waterfall. Evening: After enjoying the waterfall. Start your journey back to Kozhikode Airport/Railway station .
