Day 1
CHANDIGARH TO SHIMLA
Pick Up from Chandigarh Railway Station / Airport & Proceed for Shimla (4 Hrs) Arrive & transfer to Hotel. After Fresh Up visit Famous Mall Road, Jakhu Temple. Overnight Shimla.
Day 2
SHIMLA TO SANGLA ( 220 KM / 8900 FEET / 6 - 7 HRS )
On the second day of this Spiti Valley tour, we start our epic Himalayan road trip today and start to Sangla. With the Baspa river magically weaving itself through the forested slopes, this exquisite 95-kilometer stretch of the Sangla Valley is a sight to behold. Known predominantly for its agriculture, almost every house in Sangla will have cultivations of apples, pears, walnuts, apricots or potatoes. Arrive at Evening and transfar to Hotel. Day 3
SANGLA TO CHITKUL TO KALPA ( 95 KM TOTAL - - FULL DAY TRIP )
Today Morning to afternoon explore the ancient Kamru Fort and Temple which is dedicated to the Goddess Kamakhya Devi which was brought from Assam, also visit for an excursion to Chitkul (23 km), the last Village on an old Indo-Tibetan trade route. Walk through the green orchards and enjoy the serenity as a brilliant stream passes by. After lunch, evening proceed for Kalpa (2670 Mtrs - 49 Kms – 3 / 4 hrs). Kalpa is District Headquarter of Kinnaur. Arrive Kalpa & Check into the hotel. Each & every corner of Kalpa facing Jorkanden & Kinner Kailash Peaks, considered as one of the mythical homes of Lord Shiva & by its side is a 79 foot rock formation that resembles a Shivlinga that changes the colour as the day passes. Day 4
KALPA TO TABO Via Nako (179 KM)
Early in the morning, witness the beautiful sunrise over the Kinnaur Kailash Peaks. After that drive to Tabo. On your way, visit Kinnaur’s most picturesque hamlet and the Nako Lake. Nako is a heritage village built around a small lake and has an important Buddhist Gompa and a small temple. A footprint like impression on a rock is ascribed to the saint Guru Padmasambhava. Explore the scenic Spiti Valley that has few signs of vegetation. The beauty of Spiti lies in its unspoiled, untainted raw landscape. Rudyard Kipling describes Spiti in ‘Kim’ in these words: “At last they entered a world within a world - a valley of leagues where the high hills were fashioned of the mere rubble and refuse from off the knees of the mountains…surely the Gods live here. ” On arrival at Tabo, check in to the hotel. The ancient village of Tabo is situated on the left bank of the river Spiti. It is the land of one of the most famous Buddhist monasteries, regarded next to the Tholong Gompa in Tibet. Day 5
TABO TO KAZA (50 KM)
After breakfast proceed for Kaza (3600 mts-5/6 hrs). En route visit Dhankar Monastery. The headquarters of Spiti sub-district, Kaza is situated on the bank of river Spiti. O/n Kaza.
Day 6
KAZA
Today visit Ki Monastery (13,500 ft), the largest monastery in Spiti Valley established in 11th century. It has ancient Buddhist scrolls and paintings and also houses the largest number of Buddhist monks and nuns. Later visit KIBBER (13800 ft – 11 km) beyond Ki Monastery, known for being the highest inhabited and motorable villages in the world). Visit Comic village. O/n Kaza.
Day 7
KAZA TO CHANDRA TAL LAKE TO MANALI (210 KM / FULL DAY TRIP )
After breakfast proceed for Manali (10-11 hrs) via Chandra Tal Lake , Kunzum pass & Atul Tunul. Reach Manali by evening and check into the hotel. O/n Manali.
Day 8
MANALI
Full day free for personal activities. Overnight at Manali.
Day 9
MANALI TO CHANDIGARH (310 KM)
After breakfast proceed for Chandigarh (9-10 hrs). Reach Chandigarh by evening. Check into the hotel. O/n Chandigarh.
Day 10
CHANDIGARH
After Breakfast Drive Chandigarh airport/Railway station as per the schedule time. TOUR ENDS. With Memoreble mamories With Shree Kanaiya Tours & Travels.
